This update makes adding your first plant easier:

  • No photo needed: pick a common plant — pothos, succulents, money tree, snake plant and more — and it's set up in one tap. You can add a photo later.
  • No dead ends: if a plant can't be recognized, you go straight to choosing it by hand, and the photo you just took comes along.
  • The English, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish and Traditional Chinese interfaces are now fully translated.

Also: the add-plant screen now scrolls on smaller iPhones, and long names no longer cover your plant.

This update is mostly about subscriptions:

  • The lifetime purchase now supports Family Sharing — one person buys, the whole family can use it.
  • The subscription page has been rebuilt: prices, what you get, and how it differs from the free version, all on one screen. The half-price first week now shows the discounted amount directly, so you don't have to work it out yourself.

Also: "Invite Friends" and "Enter Invite Code" have been added to Settings.

Reduce Motion is now supported: turn it on in iOS Settings and animations across the app calm down.

Pennywort, air plants and other soil-free plants now have their own watering interval and care note, instead of the generic "check whether the soil is dry".

Fixes: the "just watered" highlight no longer disappears early when you water several plants in a row; at night, colors in "More plant pals" and "Once together" now follow the garden.
