浇个盆友（PotPal，下称「本 App」）以「本地优先、不收集你的数据」为原则设计。我们没有账号体系，也没有会存储你个人数据的服务器。
不收集。本 App 没有账号体系，不出售你的任何个人信息。你的植物档案、浇水与成长记录，默认只保存在你自己的设备上（通过系统的本地数据库 SwiftData），我们无法访问；开启付费功能「盆友 Pro」的 iCloud 同步后，这些数据会额外同步到你自己的 iCloud 账号，详见下方「iCloud 同步」一节。会离开设备、发送到我们服务器的，只有你主动发起识别 / 提问时的那张照片（见下节）。
开启付费功能「盆友 Pro」后，你的植物档案与养护记录（昵称、品种、照片、浇水与成长时间线、AI 对话记录）会通过系统的 CloudKit 框架，同步到你自己的 iCloud 私有数据库——这样换新设备或重装 App 时可以直接找回，多台设备也能共用同一座花园。这份数据存在你自己的 iCloud 账号里，由 Apple 按你的 iCloud 私有数据库权限保管，不经过我们的服务器，我们也无法访问。不开启盆友 Pro、或订阅到期后，App 不再向 iCloud 同步新的改动，数据只留在本机。
这些功能用的是我们内置的免费 AI，你不需要注册，也不需要填任何 API Key。当你主动发起识别 / 观察 / 提问时：

浇水提醒在你的设备本地生成与调度，不经过我们的服务器。
本 App 不面向 13 岁以下儿童，也不有意收集其信息。

PotPal is built local-first and collects none of your data. There are no accounts and no servers that store your personal data.
Nothing. PotPal has no accounts and does not sell any personal information. Your plant records and watering/growth history are stored only on your device by default (via the local database, SwiftData); we cannot access them. If you enable the paid "PotPal Pro" feature, this data is additionally synced to your own iCloud account — see "iCloud Sync" below. The only thing that leaves your device and reaches our servers is the photo you actively submit for recognition or a question (see below).
When you enable the paid "PotPal Pro" feature, your plant records and care history (nickname, species, photos, watering/growth timeline, AI chat history) sync to your own iCloud private database via Apple's CloudKit framework — so you can pick up right where you left off on a new device or after reinstalling, and share one garden across devices. This data lives in your own iCloud account, governed by your iCloud private-database permissions. It does not pass through our servers, and we cannot access it. Without PotPal Pro, or after your subscription ends, the app stops syncing new changes to iCloud and your data stays on-device only.
These features use our built-in free AI — no sign-up and no API key required. When you actively request a recognition / observation / answer, the relevant photo or text is sent to our service (potpal-api.daylumen.com) and forwarded to an upstream AI provider to complete that single request. Photos are used only for that request — we don't retain them, don't use them for training, and discard them after processing. We create no account and don't link this content to your identity. When you're not requesting recognition, the rest of the app (records, reminders, logs, the plant's face) runs fully on your device, offline.
If you enable local-weather calibration, your approximate location is used only to fetch local temperature and humidity to make watering more accurate. It is not stored or shared.
